Logitech Circle View Camera

The Logitech Circle View is a premium security camera designed exclusively for Apple HomeKit Secure Video. It works ONLY with Apple's ecosystem—there's no Logitech app, no subscription fees, and no third-party platform support.

Featuring Logitech TrueView technology, the camera captures 1080p HD video with an expansive 180-degree diagonal field of view through glass optics. Two IR LEDs provide up to 15 feet of night vision. Two-way audio enables communication through the Home app.

The physical privacy features set it apart: the camera can tilt downward to physically block the lens when not in use, and a rear-mounted button instantly cuts both audio and video. The metal base and matte finish body offer premium build quality.

HomeKit Secure Video stores 10 days of motion-based recordings in iCloud—and it doesn't count against your storage limit. However, you need at least a 200GB iCloud plan ($2.99/month) for one camera or 2TB plan for up to five cameras. Video footage is end-to-end encrypted for maximum privacy.

With an IP64 weatherproof rating, the Circle View handles outdoor installation but with caveats: the power plug isn't weatherproof, and the camera may go offline in direct sun above 60°F or extreme temperatures. The 10-foot USB power cable provides flexibility in placement.

Home Assistant integration works through the HomeKit Controller integration, though it's indirect. There's no Alexa, Google Home, or SmartThings support—this is Apple-only by design.

Note: While Logitech confirmed the Circle View is still available and in production (despite CEO comments suggesting otherwise), the long-term future is uncertain.
